Ball Chain Blast

Ball Chain Blast — press play to start

Ball Chain Blast is a chain-matching puzzle where you draw a connecting line through same-type sports balls — footballs, basketballs, tennis balls, volleyballs — and then detonate the chain. Chains of eight or more flip into combo multipliers, so the scoring incentive is to push past the obvious three-ball match and route the line through as many balls as possible. The board ships with five special ball types that each rewrite chain logic: bombs clear neighbors, rainbows accept any type, multipliers stack, frozen balls block until cleared, and mega balls escalate the whole chain.

How to play

You hold the mouse to start a chain on a ball, drag through adjacent matches, and release to blast. The grid refills from above, and the next chain often springs from the position your last one left behind, so it pays to think about where the board ends rather than just where the current chain peaks. The campaign runs 100 levels with five boss opponents punctuating the difficulty curve.

Controls

  • Mouse: hold and drag through connected matching balls, release to blast the chain.

Tips & tricks

  • Push for chains of eight or more before releasing — the multiplier scales hard past that threshold.
  • Use rainbow balls as connectors between two different chains in the same draw.
  • Save bombs for frozen clusters; they wreck the block faster than chasing matches around it.
  • Plan the next chain before you finish the current one. The refill pattern is predictable enough to set up combos.
  • Don’t waste a mega ball on a short chain. They are the difference between a good level and a starred level.

What makes it good

We picked it because the special balls genuinely change strategy instead of decorating it, and the 8-ball threshold gives every level a real “go for it” moment rather than a steady three-match grind.
